Too often, a spouse or family member loses the ability to safely get in
and out of bed by themselves or even with the help of a spouse or caregiver.
This can be caused by an operation, another medical condition, or simply
old age.

Our aging and sometimes over weight population presents the risk of injury to
the patient his spouse and the caregiver. It is a common problem for either the
caregiver or the patient to slip and fall getting in or out of bed.

The most common reaction to this problem is to limit those instances when the patient gets in and out of bed resulting in extended periods of time in bed. The patient begins to walk less and it is difficult to get out of bed to go to the toilet or have a meal.

Lying in bed for extended periods of time causes many other medical problems. Respiratory infections, bladder infections, wounds and muscle atrophy are common.

VitalGo has solved this problem for both patients that can walk (even with assistance) and patients who are unable to get out of bed. Our bed can bring a patient to a standing position safely and without any lifting by the caregiver or spouse. If the patient is immobile, the VitalGo bed can tilt them to a healthier position, relieving many symptoms associated with lying prone all day.

We have a network of dealers that will either rent or sell you our bed. While the bed is not inexpensive, it is economical when we compare it the cost of leaving one’s home and entering a facility.
